Impacting our Communities One Step at a Time

While 2020 has started off more turbulent than any of us could have imagined, it has also brought a renewal of appreciation and dedication throughout our team. Before the coronavirus pandemic spread to the United States, Lincoln Savings Bank was honored with several awards highlighting the effort and service provided by our employees. Today, we’d like to share these recognitions and spotlight the incredible people behind them.

Each year the Iowa Mortgage Association recognizes a handful of mortgage loan originators throughout the state who have gone above and beyond in both their volume and service to their customers. In January, our mortgage department had two lenders honored for the President’s Club (Over $20 million in loans for 2019,) and four lenders honored for the Winner’s Circle (Over $15 million in loans for 2019.) Congratulations to our entire mortgage department for this exciting achievement, and congratulations to the following lenders for their superior leadership.

In early January, the Des Moines-based Business Record publication released its Top Lists database, compiling the top companies across a variety of industries. Based on 2019 loan volume and units sold, Lincoln Savings Bank earned the #4 ranking as a Mortgage Provider in the Des Moines metro area. Our mortgage team has been growing in the Des Moines area for less than a decade and is proud to be ranked among long-standing institutions such as Bankers Trust, Wells Fargo, and Green State Credit Union.  

The Girls Scouts Inspiring Women of Iowa is an event that honors women of courage, confidence, and character. During each annual event, twelve women are recognized for demonstrating the foundational traits emphasized throughout the Girl Scouts curriculum. This year’s awards are also honoring six businesses that support and advocate for women in the workplace as Inspiring Businesses for Women. LSB is thankful to be honored among these six businesses, each of us striving to make our companies a place for women to grow and succeed.

This year, the LSB Marketing Department submitted several entries to the American Advertising Federation’s regional competition. As a first-time competitor, our team emerged with a Gold ADDY for our Customer Testimonials in conjunction with Around the Corner Productions. Additionally, our new debit card design won Judges Choice (Best of Show) for overall design. We are thrilled to announce we now have an award-winning marketing team and a newly minted award-winning debit card design.

Our mortgage team works day-in and day-out to find the best financial solution for our customers. Thanks to the Iowa Finance Authority, our lenders have some local options tailored to Iowans. We are delighted to share that in early 2020 our mortgage department was given the Diamond Rating by the Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) for total loan volume and number of assisted home buyers.

The Technology Association of Iowa’s Prometheus Awards is one of the highlights of springtime. While this year’s event will be postponed until June, we are humbled and thankful to be nominated next to so many impactful Iowa businesses. While winning a Prometheus Award is a compelling and moving show of honor, the recognition of becoming a finalist showcases the top companies within Iowa’s growing technology field. Lincoln Savings Bank is honored to be a finalist for the following 2020 Prometheus Awards:

Our team was equally joyous to learn that the Cedar Valley has also been named a finalist in the Technology Community of the Year category. We are eager and excited to share our story with the Tech Community of Iowa once the Prometheus Awards are able to commence.
